About Drew:

Drew McKenzie is a Digital Strategy Director at Empower MediaMarketing, a full-service digital and media agency headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Via Empower Drew focuses his time at the cross section of technology, consumer behavior and media for clients such as U.S. Bank, Michaels Arts & Crafts and LasikPlus Vision Centers to name a few.

Prior to joining Empower Drew spent time at Creative Department working on brands such as LexisNexis, Proctor & Gamble’s Global Business Services and Hill-Rom.

Originally getting his start in politics while attending the Lindner College of Business at the University of Cincinnati, Drew’s first agency stop was at Global Cloud, serving clients such as Crest, Twentieth Century Fox Studios, JDRF Canada, United Way of Cincinnati and many others.

Outside of work Drew volunteers in the community serving on boards at The University of Cincinnati, his fraternity Beta Theta Pi and the Emanuel Community Center.

In 2011 Drew was awarded the Outstanding Young Alumni Achievement Award from the University of Cincinnati’s Alumni Association.

Why To And With?

At Empower, we talk a lot about the idea that brands have to ‘talk to and with their consumer’, the hope is to use this blog as a way to share key examples and thoughts on this topic. Digital technology is reshaping how consumers interact with brands and if they are willing to embrace a true dialogue with consumers they will outshine their competitors and better yet have consumers who can’t stop using their products or services.
